Hotel Security Services Phuket

Hospitality-grade security for five-star hotels and resorts in Phuket.

Dedicated hotel and resort security programme for five-star properties, branded chains and independent resorts across Phuket and Southern Thailand.

Hospitality-Trained Officers

SGS officers assigned to hotel and resort contracts are inducted on five-star service standards — grooming, English communication, guest interaction and the difference between visible presence and intrusive presence.

Lobby, Back-of-House & Perimeter

One integrated deployment across the guest-facing footprint and the back-of-house — receiving, staff entrance, time office, kitchens, laundry, plant rooms and perimeter fence lines.

Beach & Pool Coverage

For resorts with beach frontage or large pool decks, we coordinate guard posts with lifeguard, pool safety and water rescue teams — including SGS's in-house aquatic safety division.

VIP Arrival & Suite Floors

Discreet escort from arrival to suite, suite-floor presence and coordination with the hotel's VIP services team. For high-profile guests we extend into our close protection service.

Incident & Lost-Property Protocol

Every property runs a documented incident protocol — guest medical event, lost property, suspicious behaviour, fire alarm. Written reports filed to hotel duty management within 24 hours.

Quarterly Audit & Review

Each hotel contract is reviewed quarterly by a senior SGS account manager — guard performance, post order, incident trends and any operational changes from the hotel side.

Hotel security built for five-star Phuket

SGS provides specialist security services to over 40 hotels, resorts and branded properties across Phuket — from independent boutiques in Patong and Kata to five-star international flags in Bangtao, Laguna, Surin and Kamala.

Hotel security is not the same as commercial guarding. Guests are not threats. The job is to be visible enough to deter, invisible enough not to intrude, and present enough to respond when something does go wrong — at 3am on a long weekend, when the duty manager has a queue at the front desk and an ambulance on the way.

What hospitality clients ask of us

Across two decades of hotel work in Phuket, the brief is consistent:

  • A guest-facing officer who reads as part of the hotel team, not a posted guard at a bank
  • A back-of-house officer who knows the staff entrance, the receiving dock and the loading bay protocols
  • A supervisor who can run an incident — medical, lost property, intoxicated guest, unauthorised access — without escalating it beyond what it needs to be
  • A senior account manager who shows up before the hotel side has to call

Coordination with hotel operations

The hotel security team does not operate in isolation. The SGS post order is built with the hotel’s Director of Security or General Manager and aligned with front office, housekeeping, F&B, engineering and the duty manager. Officers attend the hotel’s daily briefing where required and integrate with the property’s incident reporting system.

For branded properties, we map our standards against the brand security policy — Marriott, Accor, Anantara, Banyan Tree, IHG and similar — so the SGS deployment satisfies both Thai licensing requirements and brand audit standards.

Frequently asked questions

What size of hotel do you cover?

From 30-key boutique resorts up to 600-key branded properties. The post order, team size and supervisory structure is scaled to the property. We currently service over 40 properties in Phuket including five-star resorts.

Do your officers speak English to a hospitality standard?

Officers assigned to five-star hotel contracts are screened for intermediate-to-advanced English and pass a hospitality-language induction. We can assign English-strong officers to lobby, concierge-adjacent and VIP-facing posts.

Can you take over an existing in-house security team?

Yes — TUPE-style takeovers are common in Phuket. We can absorb existing officers (subject to screening and licensing), retain institutional knowledge, and bring everyone onto the SGS licensing, training and supervisory framework.

How do you coordinate with the hotel's duty manager?

The site post order names the duty manager as the on-shift escalation point. The senior SGS supervisor on each shift checks in at handover and any incident is reported to duty management before it leaves the property.

Do you handle event security inside the hotel?

Yes — and because the SGS team is already on site, the event team integrates seamlessly with permanent guarding. Weddings, conferences and gala events are run by our event security division on top of the static contract.
